For ALL AGES: We made the story kits with little kids in mind, but of course, children’s books are usually written by adults. Grandparents can have fun writing a story about their grandchild’s favorite animal. Teens can learn about Scripture as they consider how to teach biblical concepts to smaller kids. Some of the additional curriculum is also at a higher level to help advanced readers and teenagers. Our hope is to provide book-writing projects that your family can engage in together.
By the way, since it takes time to carefully consider Scripture and write a good book, you can keep your extra story kits and use them later. For most families, a one-year subscription really provides two years worth of book-writing materials!

Who Can Benefit
PARENTS. Our story kits are designed to work as mostly independent study for kids who are old enough. We hope this can be a great weekend project for public school kids who need more faith-based projects. It can also be a great addition to homeschooling. Plus, these books are truly beautiful Christmas gifts.
KIDS WITH QUESTIONS. Writing a book is a great way to dive into faith-based questions. Sometimes it’s hard to articulate what we do not understand. Play–acting with a character to discover both questions and answers is a tried and true method used by educators. That’s exactly what we do when we write stories based on Scripture.
EARLY READERS AND STRUGGLING READERS. Reading is a process of learning phonics patterns while also memorizing. When kids write their own stories, they feel excited about them and remember what they wrote. However, they usually do not remember every single word. When they read and reread their own stories, they are assisted by remembering what they wanted to say, and yet they still need to sound out individual words. The reading process feels easier… and kids love rereading their own jokes and looking at the pictures they chose!
ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS. Our bonus gift, Bible-Based Reading and Phonics, was written for a particular special need in our family: adopted thirteen-year olds who had never been educated before!
